Questions, answered

Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion uses your browser’s own image engine, so your files never leave your device.

Which format is best for my website?

WebP at 75–85% quality looks great at a fraction of JPG or PNG size. AVIF is even smaller where browsers support it.

Why is my PNG bigger after converting?

PNG is lossless, so turning a compressed photo into PNG makes it larger. Use WebP or JPG for photos.

What happens to transparency in JPG?

JPG can’t store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose.
